Gorgeous. Incredible. Fabulous. What else can even be said about Summertide 2026!?!?
Two short weeks ago, we hosted our annual Summertide Solstice Art Festival here in Webster’s Woods. It was a day of smiles thanks to all who attended and all who contributed to make it happen.
The courtyard was packed for live poetry readings from the poets who were selected for this year’s Poetry in the Park. Each year we have the luck of partnering with Olympic Peninsula Authors who bring this program to life. Of 107 submissions from 60 authors, only 18 poems make the final cut to be on display for one year in Webster’s Woods! All of the new poems are posted throughout the park, but you can also hear them here. We also had the honor of hearing from Clallam County Poet Laureate Nellie Bridge and Minnie Whalen from Clallam Resilience Project.
There’s no dress code for Summertide, but a a flower crown is sure to impress. Thank you to Tampopo Farm for donating so many gorgeous flowers and to Safeway and Costco for helping us add a few more so all of our guests could make their wearable art.
In conjunction with the Field Notes exhibit, visitors were invited to make bird inspired art projects to take home. And speaking of art- did you catch the new installation Glasswood Grove? You may have even met the artists Cherrie LaPorte and Jorge Ayala who were kind enough to chat and answer questions near their new piece!
And, of course, our musicians made sure that the meadow was grooving from start to finish from the Harmonica Pocket, Deadwood Revival and Mort Crim All Stars. These were our first guests to perform on the start of the new elevated stage.
And we can’t forget to thank our food vendors- shoutout to Pacific Pantry, Dragons Brew Coffee Company, and High Country Doughnuts for all the treats.
Lastly, many thanks to our sponsors: Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau, City of Port Angeles Lodging Tax, and Clallam County Lodging Tax and in-kind sponsors Angeles Millwork and Hartnagel Building Supply, KONP radio, Tampopo Farm, Safeway, and Costco; and to our volunteers who made it all possible!
