Create small figures, jewelry items of charms without the need for pouring hot metal or casting complications. Leave with beautiful shiny gold colored metal creations. Just bring your ideas for small figures or charms and we will figure out how to make them!
Learn simple knife techniques on paper to create mesmerizing effects! "Sparks of Connection" featured artist Heather Dawn Sparks will teach paper crafting, an intuitive flow art that shifts between the shape being cut out and the space remaining. Participants will create their own design on paper and explore scale using overhead projectors and flashlights to create shadows.
Dip into this exciting pigment-rich opaque water-based painting medium, while enjoying appetizers of favorite dip recipes! This is not a follow-along painting event, where everyone ends up with the same painting, but a fun and social skills workshop introducing you to this wonderful medium, with each artist completing a unique painting of light and shadow on a simple, and edible, still life from observation.
Make your own ceramic lantern with ceramic artist Ariel Zimman. For beginners and beyond, learn the basics of clay slab construction and carving to make a beautiful and functional lantern during this 4 hour workshop.
