Summertide Magic

July 5, 2025 by Rachel Storck Filed Under: Festivals, Latest News, Webster's Woods

It was another gorgeous Summertide Solstice Art Festival and we have the pictures to prove it!

This annual event marks the start of summer here at the PAFAC with new art installations, new poetry in the park, and a festival to mark the occasion. This year, it also marked the official opening of our newly leveled and sodded meadow!

It’s hard to believe that this was already three weeks ago, but we will be carrying this summer energy with us for many weeks to come.

We kicked off the day with a live poetry reading with the Olympic Peninsula Authors and 18 poets who were selected for this year’s Poetry in the Park theme “The Music of Summer”. All of the new poems are posted throughout the park, but you can also hear them here.

Our classic Solstice Flower Crown station was a hit, as always. Thank you to Tampopo Farm for donating so many gorgeous flowers.

In conjunction with our insect filled gallery for the “Hidden World: Jennifer Angus” exhibit, visitors had a chance to create their own bugs with paper or with our embossed tin activity station. So many fun and creative creatures came alive from your imaginations!

We had a killer lineup of musicians- starting with Casey Fall, then Tin Sandwich, and finally, Deadwood Revival to close out the festival. That new meadow was the perfect place to post up with a chair or blanket and enjoy the show! And we can’t forget to thank our food vendors- shoutout to Pacific Pantry, Angeles Brewing, Dragons Brew Coffee Company, and High Country Doughnuts for keeping us full.

Lastly, the biggest thank you to our sponsors: Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau and Clallam County Lodging Tax and in-kind sponsors Angeles Millwork and Hartnagel Building Supply, KONP radio, Tampopo Farm, and Safeway; and to our volunteers who made it all possible!
