Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, in partnership with Olympic Peninsula Authors, is now accepting submissions for Poetry in the Park 2026! This year’s theme, “Cultivating Hope Through Nature,” invites poets to explore how the natural world restores, sustains, and inspires resilience. Eighteen poets will be selected to read their work on June 13 in Port Angeles Fine Arts Center’s courtyard during the Summertide Festival, receive a $50 honorarium, and have their poem displayed in Webster’s Woods for the upcoming year. Let Mary Oliver’s question—“What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”—spark your creativity. Submit by April 15, 2026, following the submission guidelines. Finalists will be notified on May 16.
The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center invites artists and artisans from Jefferson and Clallam counties to be part of our popular Wintertide Makers Market. Held in the beautiful Esther Webster Gallery, this annual event offers a warm, inviting space where locally made, handcrafted goods shine. With cedar branches, twinkling lights, and a cozy seasonal atmosphere, the gallery becomes a destination for thoughtful gift-giving and meaningful connections between artists and the community.
Wintertide Makers Market draws a steady flow of visitors throughout the season, boosted by popular events like the Wintertide Festival of Lights, which brings hundreds of attendees to the Arts Center. This is a prime opportunity for artists to showcase and sell their work during one of the busiest shopping times of the year. If you create unique, locally made goods and want to be part of a festive and well-attended market, we encourage you to apply.
The Wintertide festival season brings over 6,000 people into Webster's Woods each year. Apply for your outdoor sculpture to be a part of the Light Art Experience. Submit a sculpture(s) that can be temporarily installed in an outdoor sculpture park that has a light or glowing component.
