Celebrate one of the longest days of the year at the Summertide Solstice Festival, a free outdoor event where art, nature, and community come alive. Set among the forested trails of Webster’s Woods Sculpture Park at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, this festival blends creativity with the wild beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Spend the day enjoying live music in a stunning open-air setting, sampling local food and drinks from vendors and the beer garden, and taking part in free hands-on art activities for all ages. Wander the paths to hear poetry readings from Poetry in the Park finalists and be among the first to experience the unveiling of a brand-new sculpture in the park.
This year also features Field Notes, a captivating exhibition inspired by the birds of the Pacific Northwest. The show brings together artists who explore nature through observation, storytelling, and imagination, inviting you to slow down, look closer, and reconnect with the world around you.

Annually, we welcome new sculpture installations into Webster’s Woods. Join us for Summertide 2026 as we celebrate our newest permanent addition to the park created by a local artist, Cherrie LaPorte.
For more than 30 years, Cherrie LaPorte has forged a distinctive path in the world of art glass, mosaics, and mixed media. Her artistic career began in North County San Diego and now continues in Port Angeles, Washington, where she creates work that reflects both innovation and a deep connection to materials and environment.
Cherrie’s diverse body of work ranges from intricate glass pieces to large-scale mosaic installations. Her art is displayed in private homes and as public art in libraries, hospitals, gardens, and corporate spaces, and now Webster’s Woods!
