Marine Discovery Center: Listening Session
Saturday, Feb. 8th | 10-11:30AM and Thursday, Feb. 20th | 5:30-7PM
Location: Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, Esther Webster Gallery

BOTH SESSIONS ARE FULL. Due to the incredible response we have had for attendance, the Marine Discovery Center will be putting together an internet survey to put out to those who are interested but unable to attend a session in person.

Working artists can help craft an art integration strategy for the new Marine Discovery Center, a public-private partnership with NOAA Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary. Listening sessions will explore how art can best be integrated into the facilities, exhibits, and building with the intent of using art’s emotional power to help achieve the facility’s conservation education goals, inspiring humans to take action to protect and care for wild spaces. Practical consideration about how to fund, select, and care for art installations in an aquarium will also be discussed.
