Join Us In Celebration of the Arts

We are getting excited for another fabulous night at the art center to celebrate the arts with you on Friday September 12th from 6-9PM at the Esther Webster Estate and we hope you will join us.

As I think ahead to our fundraiser, I am full of gratitude for each of you that are reading this message. You are part of the fabric that firmly lifts up our organization and I am grateful for the variety of ways in which you engage with us– as volunteers, as parents who have entrusted your children with us, as artists who have contributed your talents, or as partners on community projects who have offered your expertise, donations, or staff time. No matter your role with us, each of you have taken the simple and most important step to show up and be present for a place that has meaning to you.

Some of you have a long history with the art center that goes years beyond our staff. This kind of deep connection and institutional knowledge is vital to the continued forward movement of the art center. So, thank you! Others have stepped out for the first time bringing your creative curiosity, fresh perspective, and enthusiasm for new discovery.

Every action you have taken matters because it demonstrates you value the role that the arts play in building a vibrant and connected community. I entered into this role, not merely because I love art… which of course I am passionate about, but because I love the potential that art has to bring diverse people into connection with one another. Art has a beautiful way of provoking collective emotion, creating conversation, and reminding us why we are alive.

At this moment as we face an ever changing, uncertain, and at times caustic landscape, this act of coming together for the causes we care about is incredibly important. Therefore, if you have not yet gotten your ticket, I encourage you to join us to celebrate what matters, what gives us hope, and what gives us a greater sense of connection.

PURCHASE A TICKET

This will be our second annual fundraiser and we are keeping it simple. Our goal is to come together for conversation, food, music, and drinks and to raise much needed funds along the way. We have some amazing works of art lined up for our silent auction, including the rare opportunity to take home a piece of art from the Esther Webster Collection. Additionally, this year we were fortunate to be gifted the stunning body of work from artist Anne Goetzman and we will be auctioning off a curated selection of her works.  We also have an amazing set of art experiences packages with activities in Seattle, Bainbridge, Victoria or right here at home. Finally, we are excited to welcome Will Jevne of Sweater Weather String Band to entertain us and delicious hand crafted bites will be provided by Goat and Radish.
I hope you can make it!
