Throughout time, art has demonstrated its lasting impact and power. The arts have represented belief systems, connected opposing communities, inspired emerging creatives, educated people on experiences outside of their own, and transformed the trajectory of lives. Art’s ability to communicate visually often bridges the gap that frequently exists in human conversation. By providing people with accessible spaces to engage with the arts, we open the doors for growth surrounding our perspectives of ourselves, our communities, and the world.

Our current exhibition, Eternal Echoes, embodies this principle. Death is a topic that unites all of humanity. It is a reality that is faced by every person and living thing. Eternal Echoes invites us to acknowledge the difficulty of addressing death while also guiding us to the understanding that to feel loss is not the same as being lost. Loss is meant to be felt alongside others and grappled with as a community. The choice to face death with intention reminds us, as humans, of the joy that existed and will continue to exist if we choose to pursue it. Through the work of Eternal Echoes’  artists and authors, we see death represented with honor, acceptance, and artistry.

At Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, we work For The Love Of The Arts. Anyone can join. If you’ve never been a member, join us. If you were a member in the past but your membership has expired, renew with us. If you are a current member but want to get your membership renewed early for 2026, that’s great too! We have memberships available at $50, $75, $125, $250 and $1,000 levels- choose what works for you and your family.

Check our progress on the website. Our goal for this drive is to bring in $5,000 in membership donations. This will help set us up for success early in the year. Follow along and cheer us on. Each membership is active for one year (unless you opt for a lifetime membership at $1,000!). That means that at the $50 level, you’re giving $4.16 per month- the price of a cup of coffee.
