How it Works: Silent Bidding will run from 6 PM-8:30 PM on Friday Sept 13th in the gallery. All bidding will be in person. Learn more about the artwork via the individual descriptions. Bid reserves will be provided on the bid sheets on the day of the event. Winning bidders can check out and take their selections home beginning at 8:40 PM.

Roger McGinnis
Item Description ExpandWe are so grateful that local Artist Roger McGinnis created this piece in honor of our event. Roger’s handmade fused glass wave design was the most popular art piece in our Fall 2023 Essence of Home Exhibit. The glass stand has been created with four colors of Bullseye art glass and glass frit (crushed glass). Pieces are cut from sheets of glass, arranged in the desired shape, and heated in a kiln to 1460 degrees to melt or fuse the glass pieces together. The piece is then slowly cooled and annealed to remove internal stress. Don’t miss your chance to take this home.

Cody Hagen
Item Description ExpandCody blends the traditional Japanese printing technique of Gyotaku with the endemic and migratory Salmonoids and other fish species of the Olympic Peninsula rivers to create custom fish prints that capture the culture and spirit of the peninsula, transporting the viewer to the unique environment of our PNW home.
This is a Gyotaku fish print of a lingcod caught off Neah Bay. The fish was that blue due to it having a diet of baby octopus that give it’s skin the blue pigment. This piece has a Sumagashi wash background.

Shelley Jaye
Item Description ExpandWe are fortunate to recieve a stunning piece by artist Shelley Jaye. Jaye has received numerous accolades for the work she has exhibited in multiple PAFAC exhibits in the last year. She uses mixed media mosaic composed of natural slate, glazed and kiln fired slate, mica, beach pebbles, stained glass, Lapis, glass rods to develop her artwork.

Hastings is known for her beloved soft sculptures that invite the viewer to find their inner child as they interact with her work.
