Save the Date!! • The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center kicks off the Harvest season on Saturday, October 9th with its annual extravaganza – The Cabinet of Wonders. The Center’s biggest and most important fundraiser of the year, now in its fourth incarnation, it’s the annual not-to-be-missed party, bringing together great people, sumptuous food, lively entertainment, hot dancing and a terrific auction of unique must-haves.

The title Cabinet of Wonders refers to the curio cabinets of exotic and unique collectibles, which were the forerunners of modern museums, and it has become an enduring concept with which to frame the eclectic components of this soiree. Each year there is a decorating theme that showcases the creative talents of our Friends membership, who pour ingenuity and gusto into transforming the classic architecture of the Masonic Temple into a festive theme park.

This year the Cabinet takes on an Asian flavor in both décor and cuisine. The auctioneer will be Sequim comedian, Mike Piper, who will blend levity with opportunity in offering a fabulous line-up of unique collectibles, antiques, trips, gourmet excursions and always intriguing artworks. There will be dozens of silent auction items, too, to tempt a wide range of tastes and budgets.
